Harper Community Park Association Inc.
EIN: 74-6010103 | Harper, TX, United States
The Harper Community Park Association has been serving the Harper community since 1949. Our organization was founded to serve the community and provide a place for community and area residents to meet for special events, take part in their favorite pastimes, raise money for special needs or organizations, visit the Pioneer Museum or just relax and enjoy the beauty of a quiet neighborhood with a picnic.
Principal goals of the organization are to encourage, promote, support and conduct the physical, moral, educational and recreational needs of the community and others by offering recreational facilities and a community hall.
Our park provides a venue for different types of activities including dances, rodeos, weddings, family reunions, religious and educational events. Examples include Frontier Days, considered a homecoming by our community, which attracts people from neighboring communities as well as former residents, youth riding clinics teaching our youth to ride and care for horses, a 5K marathon hosted by the local PTO and Brush Arbor Day, an annual event hosted by our churches bringing different congregations together for an evening of prayer and reflection. In addition, we offer reduced fees to charitable, religious and educational organizations that use our facilities.
Our organization receives no financial assistance from local, county, state, or federal tax dollars. It relies solely on memberships, donations and rental income for its operating expenses and maintenance of the facilities. In addition, the organization has no paid employees, it is operated solely by volunteers. Help us by becoming a member, making a donation or volunteering your time.
The Harper Community Park Association is a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
